Some of my work is with acrylic-painted paper cut-outs pasted to board, paper, or canvas. I like the touching, working with my hands. I like the looking, thinking, visualizing, shaping, and translating of life into images. Like a photographer setting up a shot, I play with the cut-outs until the pieces come to a visual and emotional conclusion — click. The interplay of colors, shapes, and spaces fascinates me. Creating dialogues with those elements motivates my explorations.

And then too I work using acrylics, sometimes color pencil, on board, canvas, or paper. With reduced palette and content, I am in pursuit of a visual showing a sense of space and time, movement forward over time-moving along with the wonder of it all. Those words come close if not exactly spot on.
