In Spite of Myself

As I finished up working today, I took a glance around and truly was surprised at how much I did since I had been nagging myself about wasting so much time before I got started and obviously had titled the day Lucky-if-Anything-Gets-Done Wednesday. It is certainly a good thing when you manage not to pay too much attention to yourself when, of course, the moment is right. Art got the upper hand!

I laid out a couple of ideas I had been thinking about.

And, I arranged another piece – only afterward realizing that it was inspired by a Matisse cutout I had been looking at for months and months and months (no leaf patterns).

It appears that creativity has its own timetable (with a little help from its friends).

  1. Tony’s probably told you, but we both enjoy hearing about your art-making process. (As you know, I also like these results!)
